Variety is the spice of life, so for each of our Hop-on Hop-off tours we dish it up and you get to choose. The tour will provide you with English commentary, lending a local's authentic take on the magic that makes Vancouver great. The clear-top buses are equally special. Your view of the city will be like no other as you tour the streets with the wind in your hair, experiencing our vibrant downtown with all of your senses. Explore Stanley Park, Gastown, Botanical Gardens, Chinatown, Queen Elizabeth Park, Granville Island and more.
Fly from Vancouver to Calgary
Please catch a taxi to Vancouver airport for your flight to Calgary. Upon arrival check into your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore the “Gateway to the Rockies” city at leisure. Overnight at Sandman Signature Hotel or similar for three nights.
Lake Louise & Yoho National Park Day Tour
Skirt the slopes of the Continental Divide as you explore Yoho National Park and beyond with an experienced local guide all year around. Spend time meandering along the shores of Moraine Lake's opalescent waters and examine the natural span of a river-carved bridge created over thousands of years. Find out how railway engineers overcame the Continental Divide's steep terrain with a visit to the serpentine Spiral Tunnels.
From a central meeting location in Calgary, heading toward the evergreen forest and granite peaks of Yoho National Park. Look for moose, bear, and elk that call this stunning landscape home, and make a stop at Lake Louise to snap photos of its turquoise waters. In the winter, snow-capped mountains surround the famous lake with Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise providing a classy backdrop.
Free day Calgary
Today is a free day to explore Calgary at leisure. Calgary, a cosmopolitan Alberta city with numerous skyscrapers, owes its rapid growth to its status as the centre of Canada’s oil industry. However, it’s still steeped in the western culture that earned it the nickname “Cowtown,” evident in the Calgary Stampede, its massive July rodeo and festival that grew out of the farming exhibitions once presented here.
Farewell Calgary
Our Alaska & Canada holiday concludes today. Please catch a taxi to the airport for your flights home to Australia.

New safety measures and greater peace of mind.
The wellbeing and safety of our passengers and staff is always a priority, especially as we adjust to a new world for travellers. My Travel Experience is committed to ensuring your peace of mind with customer-friendly booking practices and enhanced health and safety standards on our trips.
We work closely with tour operators that have received the Safe Travels stamp by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), which enables travellers to recognise companies around the world that have adopted health and hygiene global standardised protocols.
Safe travel requirements:
A COVID-19 test must be taken 24 hours prior to departure from Australia and proof of a negative result submitted to the airline at check-in, along with your medical certificate showing a double vaccinated status.
Returning to Australia - Pre-departure COVID-19 testing
If you're travelling to Australia, you must provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR or RT-PCR test when checking in for your flight or cruise at the departure point (exemptions apply). Rapid antigen tests may not be accepted and check weeks before departure if testing must be conducted at an accredited testing facility.
- You must be tested 72 hours or less prior to the scheduled flight departure
- If you or a primary close contact of your travelling group tests positive, you won't be allowed to travel to Australia.
- Masks must be worn on all international flights, including at airports.
Local authorities and airlines or cruise companies may have additional requirements in place for departures. We recommend you check these before arriving at the airport. If you're transiting through other destinations during your trip, check on any local requirements at each transit destination and confirm any specific requirements for onward travel with your airline.
Only get tested through verified official testing centres. Scammers are taking advantage of travellers by charging for fake tests. If you're unsure where to get tested, contact the local health authority for advice.
You'll still need to provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result even if you've been vaccinated. If you've had a COVID-19 vaccine, you should carry your vaccination certificate along with your negative PCR test results while travelling to Australia, especially if you have one or more transit stops. Some destinations may ask for proof of testing and vaccination before allowing you to transit through or cross their border.
These guidelines are subject to change as the global situation evolves. The enforcement of certain measures (i.e. covid testing, social distancing, mask-wearing etc.) will vary in different regions. It's your responsibility to check with local health authorities for best practices in their region.
