Vancouver, Hop on Hop off Bus Tour

Your Alaska cruise arrives back in Vancouver. Please catch a taxi to your hotel for your overnight stay.  This afternoon enjoy a Hop on Hop off bus tour of Vancouver.   Variety is the spice of life, so for each of our Hop-on Hop-off tours we dish it up and you get to choose. The tour will provide you with English commentary, lending a local's authentic take on the magic that makes Vancouver great. The clear-top buses are equally special. Your view of the city will be like no other as you tour the streets with the wind in your hair, experiencing our vibrant downtown with all of your senses.  Explore Stanley Park, Gastown, Botanical Gardens, Chinatown, Queen Elizabeth Park, Granville Island and more.

DAY 11

Fly from Vancouver to Calgary

Please catch a taxi to Vancouver airport for your flight to Calgary.  Upon arrival check into your hotel.  The remainder of the day is free for you to explore the “Gateway to the Rockies” city at leisure. Overnight at Sandman Signature Hotel or similar for three nights.

DAY 12

Lake Louise & Yoho National Park Day Tour

Skirt the slopes of the Continental Divide as you explore Yoho National Park and beyond with an experienced local guide all year around. Spend time meandering along the shores of Moraine Lake's opalescent waters and examine the natural span of a river-carved bridge created over thousands of years. Find out how railway engineers overcame the Continental Divide's steep terrain with a visit to the serpentine Spiral Tunnels.

From a central meeting location in Calgary, heading toward the evergreen forest and granite peaks of Yoho National Park. Look for moose, bear, and elk that call this stunning landscape home, and make a stop at Lake Louise to snap photos of its turquoise waters. In the winter, snow-capped mountains surround the famous lake with Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise providing a classy backdrop.

DAY 13

Free day Calgary

Today is a free day to explore Calgary at leisure. Calgary, a cosmopolitan Alberta city with numerous skyscrapers, owes its rapid growth to its status as the centre of Canada’s oil industry. However, it’s still steeped in the western culture that earned it the nickname “Cowtown,” evident in the Calgary Stampede, its massive July rodeo and festival that grew out of the farming exhibitions once presented here.

DAY 14

Farewell Calgary

Our Alaska & Canada holiday concludes today. Please catch a taxi to the airport for your flights home to Australia.

More about Canada

Extending from the Atlantic to the Pacific, the Arctic Ocean to the north and United States to the south, Canada is as diverse as it is spectacular. Would it surprise you to know that with a landmass of 9.1 million square kilometres, Canada is the second-largest country in the world behind Russia? It's true, and equally genuine is how much fun travellers can have exploring its many highlights. From the charming cities of Quebec and Ottawa in the east, as well as iconic Niagara Falls, to the east where you'll find cosmopolitan Vancouver and the world-famous Rocky Mountains with beautiful Banff National Park.

More about United States

The world is fascinated by America's famous culture and curious celebrities, but any traveller will tell you that there's so much more to the amazing United States. Head east for renowned attractions like historic Philadelphia, the Florida Everglades, Washington DC and New York City. Through central USA you'll find famous Mount Rushmore Memorial and Badlands National Park, as well as the carnival town of New Orleans in the south. The west coast boasts other great highlights in Seattle, multicultural San Francisco, the movie mecca of Hollywood and San Diego, for a south-of-the-border vibe. This is the tiniest taste of what you can expect to discover and enjoy in the good old U.S of A!

New safety measures and greater peace of mind.

The wellbeing and safety of our passengers and staff is always a priority, especially as we adjust to a new world for travellers. My Travel Experience is committed to ensuring your peace of mind with customer-friendly booking practices and enhanced health and safety standards on our trips.

We work closely with tour operators that have received the Safe Travels stamp by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), which enables travellers to recognise companies around the world that have adopted health and hygiene global standardised protocols.

Safe travel requirements:
A COVID-19 test may be required prior to departure from Australia and proof of a negative result submitted to the airline at check-in, along with your medical certificate showing a fully vaccinated status.

It's important that you check the requirements for the places you will be visiting and travel operator conditions prior to travel, as it's your responsibility to be up-to-date with current travel conditions.

Local authorities and airlines or cruise companies may have additional requirements in place for departures. We recommend you check these before arriving at the airport. If you're transiting through other destinations during your trip, check on any local requirements at each transit destination and confirm any specific requirements for onward travel with your airline.

Rapid antigen tests may not be accepted and check weeks before departure if testing must be conducted at an accredited testing facility. Only get tested through verified official testing centres. Scammers are taking advantage of travellers by charging for fake tests. If you're unsure where to get tested, contact the local health authority for advice.

If you've had a COVID-19 vaccine, you should carry your vaccination certificate along with your negative PCR test results while travelling, especially if you have one or more transit stops. Some destinations may ask for proof of testing and vaccination before allowing you to transit through or cross their border.

These guidelines are subject to change as the global situation evolves. The enforcement of certain measures (i.e. covid testing, social distancing, mask-wearing etc.) will vary in different regions. It's your responsibility to check with local health authorities for best practices in their region.
