Fly to Sweden
Depart Australia for your Scandinavia, Iceland and Norway adventure.
Arrive Stockholm
Arrive in Stockholm and catch the train or a taxi from the airport to your hotel to check in. The remainder of the day is yours to relax at your hotel or set out to explore Sweden’s capital.
Stockholm Walking Tour
After breakfast this morning, embark on a walking tour of Stockholm. See all of the city’s must-see attractions such as The Royal Palace, Ostermalm, Gamla Stan (Old Town), Langholmen, Stockholm City Hall, and The Royal Djurgarden, while learning the rich history of Stockholm along the way. The remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure.
Fly to Iceland
Make your way to Stockholm airport by train or taxi and fly to Iceland. Arrive in Reykjavik, the world’s most northerly capital, surrounded by incredible landscapes and countless natural wonders. Transfer from the airport to your hotel. Overnight in this amazing city for 7 nights. Remainder of the day is free for you to explore at leisure.
Reykjavik City Tour
Your tour begins with a refreshing light breakfast and orientation meeting at Harpa Concert Hall. Your discovery of this modern city begins with a drive past the Old Town Centre, Parliament, the cathedral and the bustling harbor area. See Hofdi House, site of the 1986 Iceland Summit where Reagan and Gorbachev met to end the Cold War. Meals: Breakfast
Golden Circle & Blue Lagoon
Take a small group tour of the Golden Circle with a maximum of 24 participants. See natural formations, such as geysers, waterfalls, lakes, and more. Visit Thingvellir, a historic landmark and the place where the Icelandic Commonwealth was founded. Take a chance to visit the best place on earth to view the North Atlantic Divergent Ridge. See eruptions of up to 20 metres high at Strokkur, which erupts every 3 to 4 minutes. Pass by the dormant Geysir. View Gullfoss, considered the most beautiful of Iceland’s 30,000 waterfalls. Make a stop for lunch (own expense). Travel to Kerid, a striking crater lake filled with milky blue-green water and surrounded by stark black and deep red slopes. Relax and unwind in the soothing geothermal waters of the Blue Lagoon.
Icelandic Lava Cave Tour
On this adventure, we visit the lava tunnel Raufarhólshellir located only 30 minutes from Reykjavík. We will witness the inner workings of a volcanic eruption while we walk in the path of a lava that flowed thousands of years ago. The lava tunnel is one of the biggest in Iceland and gets up to 30 metres wide and 10 metres high. The lava tube ceiling has caved in near the entrance, which creates beautiful columns of light. The fantastic range of colours of the tunnel wall is caused by the different mineral types of the rock. This is a tour for the senses. Experience a new world, hear the talk of the cave and sense the forces of nature like you have never done before. Learn new things and step out of your comfort zone. Scenes from the Hollywood movie Noah, with Anthony Hopkins, were shot in this lava cave. You walk around 350 metres into the lava tunnel and the temperature in the cave is around 4 degrees although it can be warmer outside and usually water leaks from the ceiling when it rains and snows so we recommend raincoats. Meals: Breakfast
South Shore Tour
This South Shore Adventure tour is ideal for nature lovers of all kinds. We take you along the south coast of Iceland, one of the country’s most scenic regions, as far as Vík, a charming village surrounded by high beautiful bird cliffs. South Iceland is special in that it is one of the flattest regions on the island. As a result, nearly all grain farming in Iceland is done there. The high mountains to the north, shield the area from the harshest northern winds. Among the stops on this tour are the gorgeous Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls. Seljalandsfoss is part of the Seljalandsá river, which has its origins in Eyjafjallajökull glacier. What makes Seljalandsfoss so famous and interesting is that you can walk behind it. We suggest you bring either a raincoat or a waterproof coat along if you want to stroll behind it, which we of course highly recommend. Skógafoss, another famous Icelandic waterfall, is the starting point of the Fimmvörðuháls walk over to Þórsmörk. This most picturesque of all waterfalls is something of a film star, having been used as a backdrop in films such as Thor: The Dark World and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. We will also stop at Reynisfjara black sand beach, with the Reynisdrangar rock formations and columnar basalt. It is one of the most spectacular beaches in Iceland but can be quite dangerous due to powerful sneaker waves, and we kindly ask our guests not to go too close to the ocean and follow all guidelines. Additionally, we stop by Sólheimajökull glacier and walk up to a small lake that has formed in front of the retreating glacier. Meals: Breakfast
Glacier Lagoon (Jökulsárlón) Full Day Tour & Boat Ride
This mind-blowing day tour will take you to the Eastern coast of Iceland where spreads the most amazing natural wonder of Iceland: Jokulsárlón, the Glacier Lagoon. There, you will be able to join a boat ride on an amphibian boat. Jokulsárlón is the largest and deepest lagoon in Iceland. Branching out Breidamerkurjokull, an outlet of the Vatnajokull Glacier, the largest glacier in Europe, the Glacier Lagoon offers a different show every day with its floating icebergs, flowing down to the ocean and onto the nearby Diamond Beach. Along the way, stop at the beautiful waterfall of Seljalandsfoss behind which you can walk. If the weather allows it, glimpse at the famous Eyjafjallajokull glacier! A secret additional stop will complete this day of exploration. Meals: Breakfast
Wildlife Whale Watching and Puffin Tour in Reykjavik
Embark on a journey from Reykjavik's Old Harbour, where your adventure begins. Feel the anticipation build as you set sail into the vast Atlantic Ocean, surrounded by stunning coastal scenery. Expert guides will be by your side, sharing fascinating insights into the behaviours and habitats of the incredible creatures you'll encounter. Don't miss your chance to witness the magic of Iceland's wildlife up close!
Fly Reykjavik to Copenhagen
Your time in Iceland comes to an end today, as you are transferred to the airport for your flight to Copenhagen. On arrival, catch the train to your city hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.
Copenhagen Walking tour
Your tour of Copenhagen today begins by taking you past legendary landmarks. Visit the gorgeous Gefion Fountain, the ornate City Hall and the regal Amalienborg and Christiansborg Palace, where you will stop to see the changing of the Royal Guard and the opportunity to get a photo beside the iconic Little Mermaid statue.
