We are an independent retail travel agency and wholesale travel company, Travel On Demand Trading as My Travel Experience. My Travel Experience (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates this website (the “Service”).

For the purposes of relevant data protection laws (including each of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (EU/UK GDPR), My Travel Experience with whom you contract will be the primary controller of your personal data (for example, if you are a visitor to our website and sign up to purchase one of our trips, the My Travel Experience entity operating the relevant website or trip; or you are a supplier or travel agent, the My Travel Experience entity to whom you provide services).

This is My Travel Experience’s principle external facing privacy notice, and applies to all persons whose personal information is processed by My Travel Experience (except for My Travel Experience employees).  As well as applying to our interactions with all of our customers, suppliers and business partners, this Privacy Policy also applies to all information collected over this website www.mytravelxp.com and all other websites, platforms and mobile apps operated by My Travel Experience and any other online platforms (such as our partners’ websites and social media where we offer online travel-related services). However, you should also review the online policies of the company that you engage with, where they may have separate notices on how they protect your information.

Your personal information and why we collect it

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) may include:

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account or left comments on this site, subscribe to our emails or have made a booking with My Travel Experience, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Data breach action plan

We have a plan in place to identify, report, manage and resolve any data breaches. Any data breach will be reported to customers and relevant authorities within 72 hours of any personal data being exposed. All security breaches will be logged and actioned with urgency.

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Children’s policy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”).

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete such information from our servers immediately.
