More about Morocco

Morocco is located in the northwest of Africa and only 8 miles across the sea to Europe. It's the only remaining monarchy in North Africa and the country is distinguished by its Berber, Arabian and European cultural influences. For travellers, Morocco's cities, deserts and rugged mountains are the source of great fascination and exciting local experiences. You'll quickly acquire a taste for mint tea, as the national drink is served almost everywhere. Friday is famously couscous day, which is as much a family tradition as the 'Sunday Roast'. Rabat is the capital city, Moroccans are crazy about football, there really is a Rick's Bar in Casablanca (look out for the chance to visit on our trips) and the best local greeting is 'Salaam Alaykum', which means 'peace be upon you'.
Cover all the highlights of Morocco on this 17-day tour. Begin in the country's capital, Rabat. Explore this buzzing city, then travel to Tangier on the Strait of Gibraltar. Visit the marvellous 'Blue City' of Chefchaouen on the way to the ancient city of Fez. Venture to the edge of the Sahara, travel the road of a thousand Kasbahs and discover the thrill of World Heritage-listed Ait Benhaddou. Tour the artistic centre of Marrakech and seaside town of Essaouira. Enjoy a local farewell dinner in Casablanca before it's time to commit to memory all your amazing Morocco experiences!
