Arrive Buenos Aires - Fly to Iguazu
Antarctica Cruise arrives back in Buenos Aires this morning. Catch a taxi to the airport for a flight to Iguazu Falls. Upon arrival, make your way to the hotel. If you would like to take an optional tour of Iguazu Falls on arrival, please let your travel consultant know. One of the planet’s most awe-inspiring sights, the Iguazú Falls are simply astounding. A visit is a jaw-dropping, visceral experience, and the power and noise of the cascades – a chain of hundreds of waterfalls nearly 3km in extension – live forever in the memory. An added benefit is the setting: the falls lie split between Brazil and Argentina in a large expanse of national park, much of its rainforest teeming with unique flora and fauna.

Iguazu, the Argentinean Falls
Your adventure continues this morning at Iguazu Falls. A rail car can take you to the top of the Falls on the Upper Circuit, and you can walk to the Lower Circuit where the power of nature surrounds you. Continue along the catwalks to Devil's Gorge - stand in amazement as you gaze at spectacular "Devil's Throat" the most magnificent of all of the cataracts. View, photograph and feel the spray of the thundering waters, one of nature's most impressive achievements and a unique experience for your senses. Spend the rest of the day exploring the natural treasures of Iguazú National Park, designated a World Heritage Site for its rare and endangered flora and fauna

Fly to Buenos Aires
Today, make your way to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires. Return to the cosmopolitan city and enjoy an overnight stay to see more of the vibrant metropolis. Stroll along these broad thoroughfares, like the Plaza de Mayo, where famed first lady Evita Perón led fervent crowds to petition for her husband’s release from prison, or visit Pirámide de Mayo, the oldest of the city’s many national monuments.

Buenos Aires City Tour
It’s a free day to discover the city's highlights. Let your travel consult know if you’d like to pre-book a tour that includes the Plaza de Mayo, Metropolitan Cathedral and Casa Rosada (government palace). Then, to the colourful La Boca neighbourhood and the old quarters of San Telmo and Caminito that are a mix of colonial style homes, narrow lanes, artists' lofts and trendy cafes. Drive to the Recoleta Cemetery, final resting place of many of the wealthiest and most important Argentine historical figures, including the tomb of Eva "Evita" Peron. This evening you could be entertained at an Argentinean Dinner and Tango Show

Buenos Aires – El Calafate
Make your way to the airport for your departure flight from Buenos Aires to El Calafate, about 1,700 miles (2,700 km) south of Buenos Aires on the shores of Lake Argentino (Lago Argentino). When you arrive, you’ll be picked up by your professional guide and driven to your hotel. The rest of the evening is yours to have dinner (own expense) and enjoy at your leisure.

El Calafate Los Glaciares National Park
Today, enjoy an excursion to the Perito Moreno glacier in Los Glaciares National Park. After breakfast, make the 50-mile (80-km) drive from El Calafate to the glacier, which sits on the southwestern corner of Lake Argentino. The most famous feature of the World Heritage-listed national park, Perito Moreno is 19 miles (30 km) long, 3 miles (5 km) wide and 197 feet (60 m) tall. With your guide, walk along the 1,300-foot (400-meter) walking path that takes you to a lookout point near the glacier. When you reach the viewpoint (about an hour’s walk), your guide will give you free time to take photos and admire the amazing view of the glacier and lake. Perito Moreno is a growing glacier, creeping forward a little bit each day. If you’re lucky, you may witness ice breaking off of the glacier walls and crashing into the water. You may bring your own packed lunch with you to eat during the tour, have lunch at the restaurant inside the national park, or bring a few snacks on the tour and wait until you get back to El Calafate to eat lunch; the usual return time to El Calafate is 1pm, unless your tour group decides to spend more time at the national park. Please note, the entrance fee to Los Glaciares National Park is not included in the price of the tour; you will pay at the gate when you get there.

El Calafate – Buenos Aires
After breakfast, spend a little more free time in El Calafate before you are driven to the airport to catch your 4-hour flight back to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival back in Buenos Aires your will be transferred to your hotel for another great evening in this cosmopolitan city.
