Stop at Fisherman’s Bastion for panoramic views of the city. See the Cathedral of Zagreb, with its soaring twin spires. Enjoy a guided walking tour of charming Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia. The tour comes to an end in magical Vienna, with its magnificent Baroque palaces, parks and monuments.

Arrive in Budapest
Arrive in Budapest, the capital city of Hungary that straddles the Danube River, with the Buda Hills to the west and Pest to the east. Make your own way to the hotel and spend the balance of the day at leisure. Your tour will begin with an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 6 PM, followed by dinner. We recommend that you select flights which arrive no later than 4 PM

Budapest City Tour & Christmas Market
Take a morning city tour of Budapest. Begin in Pest and continue to view the Parliament, Heroes' Square, and Market Hall before crossing the Danube to the Buda Hills. Here, see the Royal Palace, and visit the 13th century Matthias Church. Proceed to the Fisherman's Bastion for enthralling panoramic views of the city. Free time to browse Budapest's Christmas market, filled with wooden stalls richly decorated with traditional wares. Later, join the optional Danube dinner cruise

Travel to Zagreb & City Tour
This morning, depart Budapest and travel to the charming city of Zagreb, capital of Croatia. Upon arrival, take a sightseeing tour of Zagreb. View Ban Josip Jelacic square and the Gothic Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary with its soaring twin spires. Then, head to the medieval section of the Upper Town with its cobblestone streets and red-tile-roofed buildings. View the Presidential Palace, Stone Gate, St. Mark's church and Pope's tower. Dinner tonight is at the hotel

Zagreb Christmas Market, Ljubljana
Spend the morning at leisure to visit Zagreb's Christmas market. Learn about Croatian Christmas traditions and shop for handmade Croatian Christmas ornaments. Indulge in some delicious treats like roasted chestnuts and other seasonal delights. Afterward, depart Zagreb and cross into Slovenia. Arrive in Ljubljana late afternoon and check into your hotel for overnight

Ljubljana City Tour & Christmas Market
Begin the day with a walking tour of Ljubljana. View its open-air market, the Baroque Venetian inspired City Hall, Robba Fountain, the Triple Bridge, which connects the old and new cities, and the Parliament. The afternoon is free to discover the Christmas markets at the Preseren Square, along the Ljubljanica River. Perhaps, join the optional Radovljica & Bled tour. Walk along the cobbled streets of the medieval town of Radovljica, with its preserved moat. Later, head to Bled for a walking tour through the charming town and visit the Christmas market

Graz City Tour & Christmas Market, Travel to Vienna
Today, depart Ljubljana and drive to Graz, a historic city in southern Austria. During the walking tour, view the major sights of the city including the 15th century cathedral, Opera House, medieval clock tower and Altstadt (Old Town) a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Landhaus with its beautiful Renaissance architecture, home to the provincial parliament of Styria. Enjoy free time to browse the Christmas markets with a variety of stalls full of decorations, Styrian handicrafts, holiday gifts and gingerbread. Later, travel to Vienna. Arrive late afternoon and check into the hotel

Vienna City Tour & Christmas Market
Embark on a panoramic tour of Vienna. View Ringstrasse, Vienna's main boulevard, Hofburg Palace, the Opera House, the monument of Empress Maria Theresia, Votive Church, City Hall, Parliament, and Musikverein, the music hall of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Spend the afternoon exploring Vienna's Christmas markets. Perhaps, participate in the optional tour to Schonbrunn Palace, once summer residence of the Habsburgs. Visit the gorgeous Baroque apartments and stroll through the manicured gardens. Be sure to stop at a café to sample the famous Viennese Sacher Torte before returning to the hotel. Is this tour right for you?
This moderately active trip covers a fair amount of ground each day. Expect from three to four hours walking every touring day. The pace is moderate, however you will encounter some uneven surfaces, stairs, steps and significant slopes. The longest day spent on the bus is from Budapest to Zagreb. For your comfort, several stops will be made along the way. This is an Off Season program.
