Plus, an exchange rate in favour of the Australian dollar is nice bonus. Split into two main islands, the North Island is where you'll find the capital of Wellington and the country's largest city of Auckland. It also has proud Maori heritage and rich cultural experiences. On the South Island, also officially named Te Waipounamu, the natural wonders shine brightly. Explore stunning Abel Tasman National Park, the great Southern Alps and beautiful Milford Sound.
