Canada & Alaska trip overview

Begin with flights to Calgary, where you will be transferred to enjoy an overnight stay in Banff. Depending on the schedule, you’ll have time to explore at your leisure and could opt to take a gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain or relax in the Banff hot springs.

Next, board the magnificent Rocky Mountaineer for a rail experience unlike any other. The famous train journey offers a spectacular range of scenery as you travel between the high peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the interior. Overnight in Kamloops and continue west towards the Pacific, as the train winds through river canyons, pristine forests and lush green valleys.

After stopping in Vancouver for two nights to experience the vibrant city, board the 7-night cruise aboard Holland America Line’s Koningsdam.

Witness amazing views and wildlife as you sail through Alaska’s magical Inside Passage. Cruise by Tracy Arm Fjord and dock in Alaska’s remote capital of Juneau. Other ports include Skagway and the culturally-alive town of Ketchikan. Sail past Endicott Arm, Dawes Glacier, evergreen-clad cliffs and floating frozen “bergy bits” on this scenic voyage.

With the magical Rocky Mountaineer Railway, a luxurious cruise, many meals, hotel accommodation and more, this is an unbeatable Canada and USA package that you won’t want to miss!

More about Canada

Extending from the Atlantic to the Pacific, the Arctic Ocean to the north and United States to the south, Canada is as diverse as it is spectacular. Would it surprise you to know that with a landmass of 9.1 million square kilometres, Canada is the second-largest country in the world behind Russia? It's true, and equally genuine is how much fun travellers can have exploring its many highlights. From the charming cities of Quebec and Ottawa in the east, as well as iconic Niagara Falls, to the east where you'll find cosmopolitan Vancouver and the world-famous Rocky Mountains with beautiful Banff National Park.

More about United States

The world is fascinated by America's famous culture and curious celebrities, but any traveller will tell you that there's so much more to the amazing United States. Head east for renowned attractions like historic Philadelphia, the Florida Everglades, Washington DC and New York City. Through central USA you'll find famous Mount Rushmore Memorial and Badlands National Park, as well as the carnival town of New Orleans in the south. The west coast boasts other great highlights in Seattle, multicultural San Francisco, the movie mecca of Hollywood and San Diego, for a south-of-the-border vibe. This is the tiniest taste of what you can expect to discover and enjoy in the good old U.S of A!
