Fly to Proserpine, Whitsundays Coast
Arrive in Airlie Beach, serviced by Proserpine Airport (PPP), and make your own way to the Airlie Beach Apartments for your 4-night stay.
Airlie Beach
Your time is free to explore beautiful Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday region. Being the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, most visitors are eager to jump on boat trips, but since you have the cruise coming up you may wish to enjoy exploring on foot. Close to town you can stroll along the sand at the district’s beloved beaches; Cannonvale, Shingley, Airlie and Boathaven. Or wander the Bicentennial Boardwalks and venture further afield with a hike or mountain bike along Conway National Park’s circuits.
Whitsunday Explorer Cruise
Today is time to make your way to Coral Sea Marina to check in for the cruise between 3:00pm-4:00pm. Whitsunday Explorer departs Coral Sea Marina passing through Molle Island group and across the Whitsunday Passage, before dropping anchor at Cid Harbour for the evening. Enjoy drinks on the observation deck before settling into the main saloon for dinner with the Captain, followed by an itinerary briefing for the upcoming days.
Cruise the Whitsundays
Start your day with an alfresco breakfast on the upper observation deck or in the main saloon as we set sail to drop anchor near Whitsunday Island. Board the high-speed rigid inflatable Island Adventurer for a quick transfer to the brilliant white sands of world-famous Whitehaven Beach to swim, walk and explore at your leisure.
Jump back on Island Adventurer for a short cruise up to Tongue Bay and the Hill Inlet Lookout Track. Marvel at the marbled ever-changing patterns created by shallow blue water and moving white silica sand. Refuel with lunch on Whitsunday Explorer as we set sail to Hook Passage. From here we’ll launch the Island Adventurer to explore Nara Inlet and the ancient rock wall paintings of the indigenous Ngaro people.
The final destination for the day is Langford Island - the perfect spot for snorkelling with sheltered waters and coral systems teeming with vibrant marine life including a large population of green turtles. Back onboard the small ship, take in the sunset as we cruise to Long Island to anchor. Enjoy drinks and dinner in the main saloon at your leisure, why not treat yourself to a nightcap under the stars on the observation deck.
Cruise to Airlie Beach, Fly to Brisbane
Enjoy breakfast alfresco or in the main saloon. Explore Long Island’s shores and walking tracks at your own pace. A crew member will always accompany guests ashore. Return to the mother ship for your cruise back to Coral Sea Marina, Airlie Beach, arriving around 11:00am. From here, it’s time to make your own way to the airport for your departing flight.
