Inland you'll find many impressive wildlife reserves, including Kruger National Park, famous for its wildlife viewing opportunities and being home to the 'Big Five' (leopard, lion, rhino, buffalo and elephant).

More about Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe, or officially the Republic of Zimbabwe, is bordered by South Africa, Botswana, Zambia and Mozambique. It's gone through a resurgence in recent years, with stability returning to the landlocked country and gradual economic growth. Despite its rocky political past, Zimbabwe has invested in its natural heritage, with around 11% of the country declared parks and wildlife estates. The most renowned and largest is Hwange National Park, where you could be fortunate to see the Big 5 (elephant, rhino, buffalo, leopard and lion). Zimbabwe's biggest must-see attraction is thundering Victoria Falls on the Zambezi river, where the famous falls actually straddle the border with Zambia.
