More about South Africa

South Africa is a fascinating country full of contrasts, rich cultural heritage, imposing natural wonders and of course many of the most remarkable animals on earth. Table Mountain is a stunning backdrop to the city of Cape Town. The Western Cape boasts beautiful beaches and is prime wine growing country. Inland you'll find many impressive wildlife reserves, including Kruger National Park, famous for its wildlife viewing opportunities and being home to the 'Big Five' (leopard, lion, rhino, buffalo and elephant).

More about Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe, or officially the Republic of Zimbabwe, is bordered by South Africa, Botswana, Zambia and Mozambique. It's gone through a resurgence in recent years, with stability returning to the landlocked country and gradual economic growth. Despite its rocky political past, Zimbabwe has invested in its natural heritage, with around 11% of the country declared parks and wildlife estates. The most renowned and largest is Hwange National Park, where you could be fortunate to see the Big 5 (elephant, rhino, buffalo, leopard and lion). Zimbabwe's biggest must-see attraction is thundering Victoria Falls on the Zambezi river, where the famous falls actually straddle the border with Zambia.
See the sights of Cape Town, discover the diverse ecosystem of St Lucia Estuary, enjoy game drives in Kruger National Park, visit Nelson Mandela's former home in Soweto, take a sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River and see spectacular Victoria Falls. This tour has so much going for it, with accommodation in mostly 4-star hotels and flights included, as well as the services of expert local guides.

This active program covers a good amount of ground each day. Expect from three to four hours walking on some touring days. The pace is moderate, however you will encounter some uneven surfaces, stairs, steps and significant slopes. A few early wake-ups are required. There are two long days spent on the coach between eSwatini and Hazyview, as well as between Hazyview and Johannesburg. For your comfort, several stops will be made along the way including a lunch break.

While the majority of the tour will be performed in an air-conditioned motor coach, game drives will be conducted in small safari vehicles that cannot be air-conditioned. Visitors to Kruger National Park and Zimbabwe are encouraged to consult their health-care providers regarding malaria prophylaxis. We suggest you check with your health-care provider before signing up for this tour. During this tour, you may come into proximity of wild animals whose actions can be unpredictable. Certain inherent risks are involved which should be considered at your own discretion.

Important to remember...

The day-by-day tour descriptions are intended as an indicative guide only. Travel by nature is unpredictable. Weather patterns, sea or river conditions, road accessibility, public holidays, travel restrictions and a multitude of other factors may necessitate itinerary changes that are ultimately for the client's benefit.
