Fly Copenhagen to Iceland
Cruise arrives back in Copenhagen. Please catch a taxi to the airport for your flights to Iceland. Arrive in Reykjavik, the world’s most northerly capital, surrounded by incredible landscapes and countless natural wonders. Make your own way from the airport to your hotel. Overnight in this amazing country for 10 nights. Remainder of the day is free for you to explore at leisure.
Reykjavik City Tour
Your tour begins with a refreshing light breakfast and orientation meeting at Harpa Concert Hall. Your discovery of this modern city begins with a drive past the Old Town Centre, Parliament, the cathedral and the bustling harbor area. See Hofdi House, site of the 1986 Iceland Summit where Reagan and Gorbachev met to end the Cold War.
Meals: Breakfast
Iceland Tour, Golden Circle
On the first day of the tour you will tackle to the famous Golden Circle route to witness the active geothermal area Geysir, the golden waterfall Gullfoss and Thingvellir – a UNESCO World Heritage site where the old Icelandic parliament was gathering inside the rift between Eurasian and American tectonic plates. Just before heading to your cozy accommodation on the South Coast you will stop at the colourful Kerid Volcanic Crater.
Iceland Tour, South Coast
For the next two days your adventure continues along the South Coast, where you will discover stunning waterfalls, lava fields, black sand beaches and famous Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon. During these days there are two very exiting activities planned – a Blue Ice Glacier Walk on Solheimajokull Glacier and an amphibian boat tour among icebergs at the Jokulsarlon glacier Lagoon. Remember to keep your head up for the seals swimming around you and resting on the ice. You will also visit the river canyon at Fjadrargljufur – an astonishing place, a winding green gorge about a hundred meters deep and nearly two kilometres long. Then you will go back to Reykjavik for one night.
Iceland Tour, Snæfellsnes Peninsula
The final two days of the tour take place in the West of Iceland and on the Snaefellsnes peninsula. The Snaefellsnes peninsula, listed on Lonely Planet TOP 10 Regions in World 2015, is a fairy-tale land full of beautiful cliffs, charming fishing villages, fjords, wildlife, volcanic landscapes and craters combined with stunning waterfalls and mountains. The Borgarfjordur area is in the opinion of many Icelanders the most beautiful countryside in Iceland. Among the highlights during these days are a caving expedition inside Vidgelmir, the biggest known lava tunnel in Iceland.
Day tour to the Volcanic Eruption in Meradalir
The perfect day tour to experience the raw power of nature by the volcanic eruption in Meradalir. The hike takes approximately 2 hours each way. Don't miss out on this unique experience and witness the lava erupting out of the trembling ground. The volcanic landscape can be uneven and challenging. Therefore, good hiking shoes and warm clothing is mandatory.
Blue Lagoon Tour
The Blue Lagoon is one of Iceland's most famous tourist attractions and considered by many to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, as well as an unmissable part of any visit to Iceland. The Blue Lagoon is surrounded by a mossy lava field, offering incredible scenery, with state-of-the-art facilities, a unique atmosphere and silica masks and water that make your skin extra firm, yet incredibly soft!
Whale Watching from Reykjavik
On a Whale Watching tour from Reykjavik you will be able to experience some of Iceland’s rich and thriving bird life, as well as visit our large variety of sea-life, including minke whales, humpback whales, harbour porpoises and white-beaked dolphins among other whale species. Our focus is on comfort, unique experiences and personal service while making sure the environment is protected and respected in every way possible. Expert guides and friendly crew will welcome you aboard, share with you interesting information about different kinds of whales and seabirds you may expect to see on your tour and will teach you how to spot whales out in the bay.
