It also signifies the triumph of good over evil, new beginnings and the arrival of spring. The day is designated as a time to have fun, indulge in decadent sweet foods and join in the festivities that include the world-famous tossing of coloured powders across crowds of revellers. Venture on the Golden Triangle route through Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, while embracing the world-famous sites as well as hidden gems. Go in search of elusive tigers in Ranthambhore National Park and be dazzled by the walled old town of Amritsar with its gilded Golden Temple.
